For the third year running, Leucos will participate in I 5 Sensi dell’Eccellenza [The 5 Senses of Excellence], the event that Tenuta Luisa is used to organize in its headquarters near Gorizia, Italy, to celebrate the best of the regional enogastronomy. This beautiful tradition renews itself in 2013 with the new and noble aim of involving the other main partners of the evening – prestigious brands like Moroso, Damiani, Jaguar, Land Rover, Banca Mediolanum and Aci Leasing – in the Light Your Heart project, conceived and coordinated by Leucos in favour of Città della Speranza to support the research on children’s neoplasia.
Ten The Great JJ produced by Leucos and personalised by as many international designers for Light your Heart will be protagonists at I 5 Sensi dell’Eccellenza, that will took place next July 4 in the striking estate of the Italian wine company to excite sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing of 300 special guests.
A large format panel and some totems expressly realised for this occasion will show the original creations by Arik Levy, Chris Bangle, Flavio Manzoni, Karim Rashid, Jozeph Forakis, Massimo Iosa Ghini, Patrik Jouin, Roberto Paoli, Satoshi Umeno and Valerio Cometti. These unique pieces of design will be auctioned on September 13rd at Padova Children’s Research Institute (IRP) and the proceeds will be donated to finance the studies on stem cells that a young research team led by Professor Paolo De Coppi and Professor Michela Pozzobon is carrying out to fight against the onset and development of serious childhood diseases.
Among stars at July event, between background jazz music and elegant scents of wine, there will also be three “normal” The Great JJ in a rigorous white finish, to lighten the outdoor environment and give emphasis to the Jaguar and Land Rover car models selected for the exhibition.
Floor and table lamps of Kube family by Leucos will welcome the guests at the entrance to Tenuta Luisa. The cube-shaped diffuser in blown white glass designed by Marco Piva “will furnish” the reception area with a soft and warm light which also creates a great scenic impact.
Another sign of excellence is Ether by Patrick Jouin, one of the most iconic lamps of the brand that drows its inspiration from the lighting installation realised by the French designer for Alain Ducasse’s Mix Restaurant in Las Vegas. The fall of handblown Murano glass bubbles onto which the light from above is refracted is a surprising art creation, maybe even more precious than the Damiani jewels it will illuminate multiplying their rare beauty.
