Light Your Heart final night, a blaze of emotions

It must be magic and it was magic. Yesterday, a special night closed between a thousand emotions and intense audience participation Light your heart, the event promoted and coordinated by LEUCOS in favour of Città della Speranza. The protagonists of the evening, who appeared deeply moved and involved, put themselves in the game with exceptional availability and sense of humor. Designers and researchers together on the stage to give sick children a tangible hope of life.

Flavio Manzoni, the author of one of the limited edition The Great JJ called Connecting the dots, played a grand piano. In this poetic way, with the help of music and a video projected on a big LED wall behind his back, he also answered the central question of the evening: “What do you like to do? Where do you draw vital energy from?” All the other designers did the same thing, giving life to an original show made of symbolic objects, sounds and lights: Roberto Paoli appeared on stage with a mask and flippers, Valerio Cometti with his boxing gloves, Jozeph Forakis with some postcards of his favorite destinations.

After a short pause, another big surprise. Chiara Galiazzo, the young winner of X Factor Italy 2013, appeared on the LED wall singing a song, then she emerged from the end of the parterre and went on stage where she concluded her brilliant performance.

Huge success also for the auction , 120.000 euros were collected, that assigned to ten lucky guests as many The Great JJ by LEUCOS: proceeds will go for financing the studies on stem cells that Paolo De Coppi and Michela Pozzobon are carrying out to fight against the onset and development of serious childhood diseases. Their thanks were moving and unexpected, with professor De Coppi via video conferencing from London and the whole research team on stage.

Particularly disputed was the lamp personalized by Flavio Manzoni, beaten to 25,000 € (maximum figure touched), followed by the two The Great JJ created by Karim Rashid and Chris Bangle sold respectively to € 18,000 and € 15,000.

At the end, before the light dinner LEUCOS offered as a tribute to local gastronomy, there was a message of the Italian Economic Development Minister Flavio Zanonato and the reading of a text that touched the heart of all participants.  The message of hope it contained synthesizes not only the sense of the event, but also of Light your heart in its whole: let’s roll, let’s make available to others our talents and realized passions, “may every child get the chance to grow up.”
